Can You Even Hear Me?
Ally Hatfield March 2, 2009
“Prashan! Hey Prashan!” I hissed through clenched teeth.
That big head continued to stare in front of me, watching the rest of the gym; scattered with pins, mats, and cones of every color.
I hate P.E. I! I especially hate it when no one even tries to win! They don’t care! A voice screamed inside my head.
“ Prrrrraaaaaaassssshhhhhaaaaaannnnnn! … I almost screamed, irritated.
“Hugh” the clueless giant replied, turning around to face me. “Can you please scoot back behind the line?” “I’m on the line” he said. “But your supposed to be behind the line!” “It’s the same thing!” He said, like I was some sort of lunatic, not listening to the coaches instructions.
“Do you want me to go ask!?” I hissed. “Fine!” he shot back.
After asking the coaches, I marched right back to my place on the gym floor; unfortunately right behind Prashan.
“Coach said behind the line… not on it!” I said triumphantly “Fine” he sighed, as he inched behind the line; right into the space I had left him.
“Finally!” I murmured.
