You Can’t- That’s Cheating!

“WHAM!” the ball hit Danelia in the stomach; She had tried to twist herself, like a human rubber band, somehow trying to avoid the ball.

Good, finally I hit someone! I thought, as she glared at me.

Danelia started walking towards her team window. She had only taken a couple of steps when a dodge ball flew past her and towards another victim on her team.

Danelia (unexpectedly) grabbed the flying dodge ball right out of it’s path.

She quickly glanced at me.

Oh fine, I guess it’s okay if she gives it to one of her friends - even though she’s out - I decided.

Danelia quickly arched back to throw, the whole time looking somehow past my head, not at me, but past me!

What is she doing? I wanted to scream to the coaches. She’s already out! She can’t throw!

“Zoom!” the dodge ball flew through the air.

Next thing I saw was: Danelia… watching with me with a completely evil grin and the light-green dodge ball flying through the air, coming towards me (specifically my face).

“WHAM!” the dodge ball hit me surprisingly hard.

She can’t…- she’s a cheater! I wanted so badly to scream that to the coaches.
“You’re out! I just hit you!” I yelled at her through gritted teeth, my hands now clenched into fists.

She walked to her window; A wicked grin spread across her face as she eyed me.
